The CRO-MAGNON 2009 has taken off.
The date: 6th and 7th June 2009.
112 km long with 5.700 m positive  D+.
Of the 112 km, 86 are on mountain footpaths, 15 on forest earth roads, 2,3 on paved footpaths and 8,5 on roads, most of which secondary ones.
3.100 m out of the 5.700 m D+ are on slopes steeper than 20%, while 2.300 m out of the 6.700 m D- are on slopes steeper than 20%
There are 51 km of ascent, on an average 11,1% slope, and 61 km of descent, on an average 10,9% slope.
79 km are above 1.000m altitude, of which 33 between 2000m and 2450 m
6 refreshment stations, of which 4 marathon type and 2 with warm food.
In the unfortunate event of a snow fall in the day preceding the Trail, an alternative course in the Tenda area will allow the Cro to be still 103 km long with 5.200 m D+, starting from the same place in Limone.
Buses will be available of Friday 5th to transport the trailers from Cap d'Ail to Limone
Distribution of numbers and Pasta Party at Limone. Continuous warm self-service at the Arrival at Cap d'Ail
Enrolments on-line only, as from 16th January 2009. 400 numbers available. 85 euro, plus 10 euro for the bus (optional).

A nocturnal trail the Neander-Trail, 53 km long, will take place on the second half of the Cro-Magnon course, starting Saturday night, 6th June. 50 euro, plus 5 euro for the bus (optional)
